Ottawa Politicians

Politicians in Ottawa are indeed very pleased,
Completely isolated from Canadian reality,
There are no abortion clinics or half way houses where they go,
They don’t have to worry because they make lots and lots of dough.


The garbage men on strike doesn’t seem to even bother them,
That’s in far away Windsor and Toronto so no one can condemn,
And parliament is closed down for the summer anyway,
And half the Canadians don’t bother to vote or have a say.


But neither do Canadians have referendums or recall,
So ministers and mandarins cover their tracks behind a wall,
Ottawa spends three hundred million a year that no one knows,
Party system of first past the post and they win by a nose.
