System Changes are Forbidden

Our politicians want you to behave and join their party,
No need for an independent thought and there is nothing dirty,
Ideas of referendums, euthanasia and recall are hidden,
It’s just that in the party system they are all forbidden.


Because their disciplined party system is the only way to go,
And no need to do much thinking because party leaders know,
And it’s the party line we have to follow, right or wrong,
You just shut up; don’t talk or write because this is where you belong.


And if the party wants to travel, tax and spend, that’s how it will be,
In party discipline you have to just shut up and wait and see,
All changes are forbidden and no one can ever take the blame,
Don’t worry about the opposition because they are the same.
